Great artwork Kremlin!

A tip for modellers that would like to build a Vampire, make sure of the Mk before building.
As can be seen on the photo's of 237, the port and starboard air intake fillets differ, the starboard side is longer by 8 inches and which accomdated the "airconditioning" for the cockpit.

On the original FB5 and FB6 variants this extension for the aircon was non-existent.
The FB6's ( 10 aircraft) were brought up to FB9 standard at Ysterplaat.

The FB5 serials were 201-210,FB6 serials 211-220,FB9 (ex RAF) serials 227- 256, T Mk 11 (ex RAF) 221-226 and T Mk55 serials 257-277.

Besides the extended air intake fillet on starboard side there is also an additional opening in the starboard wing above the intake to accomodate the airflow for the aircon.

As is common with export aircraft from the UK,the FB6's and FB9's were brought up to FB52 standard.

It's funny that ....

I normally draw profiles facing left .... IMHO they just look wrong when they face right :-k

I've towed the FB.5 into the hangar & am working on the metal finish ... trying to get it right before I start assembly of the T.11's & T.55's :D

Just when you thought it couldn't get better, you go and outdo yourself again! =D>
