Step 2 of Group Build - Yoda Kremlin says he believe the Harvard profiles, although part of the Group Build (viewtopic.php?f=12&t=4164) do deserve their own thread in this forum. First stage of shaping the much loved "spammy".

So when is some one going to do a Harvard Mk.I as these were the first of the600 + Harvards to reach South Africa and in which the first fatal accident occurred on 08.08.1942 in Natal, near Stanger. Aircraft Harvard Mk.I, 1301 (P-5931 / 49-1201) crashed at Osborne Farm, Groutville, Natal, South Africa

Crew
Air Mechanic J.R Sharpe 22yrs P.5453 SAAF 6 Squadron
East London (East Bank) Cemetery, Section 11C, Grave 744 W, East London, Cape Province (Eastern Cape)South Africa
*
2nd Lieutenant G.A Hartman *yrs 205566 SAAF 6 Squadron
Pretoria (Rebecca Street) Cemetery, Presbyterian Section Grave 3287, Pretoria,Transvaal, South Africa

Some SAAF members had already had fatal accidents in other countries flying Mk.I Harvards prior to this accident.

@ Kremlin: Figured I may be tagged.

@W407594F: Your request had me rushing for my "Dan Hagedorn: North American's T6 -A Definitive History of the World's Most Famous Trainer" :) :) Hopefully the R650-00 I gave to Amazon, is worth it, and who knows, there is quite a long way to go before the end of the group build.
