I used an existing pic of klapperkop, did a manual cut-out job, desaturated and burnt certain areas to cancel out some shadows. Then added the clouds from another existing pic of mine, and added the lightning from stock images. The background image is also another photo taken at night at Wonderboom some time ago infront of Naturelink's hangars.

The only thing is that brushes tend to not be large enough to create high resolution works. This is the main thing I have with brushes. I use high res stock images most of the time. The lightning stock images are large enough, and the lightning bolts are isolated enough so you can simply screen the layer onto the image.
