Okay so as promised here is my traced, redrawn and vectorized SAAF ensignia. Just remember these are not officially approved by the SAAF, and there might be colour codes or details that are incorrect.

This is the first few - more to follow. If you use them just mention where you got them.

just making sure... something in my head tells me im wrong here: the light blue on the logo... that is not the same blue as the rest of the tail was, right... the tail was even paler?

Correct, the light blue triangle was indeed darker than the tail :smt023
