But the HH-60G Pave Hawk was flown at AAD at AFB Ysterplaat in 2010 already ...

There was an HH-60G on static at AAD in 2004 at Waterkloof:-)

2nd flying display of a Blackhawk perhaps, since the HH-60G diplayed at AAD held at Ysterplaat.

They did a rappelling display at Ysterplaat.

This is the first SA registered and "resident" Blackhawk, that's basically the only "interesting fact" about it. Various US military Blackhawks have visited SA and participated in public shows since the normalisation of defence relations.

Guys Guys..talk about shooting the messenger,not one even mentioned nice pics...a Pave Hawk YES has been seen at South African airshows,but it is not at all the same as a normal Black hawk?!They called Pave Hawks HH-60G's,They are equipped with long-range fuel tanks, air-to-air refueling capability, FLIR, improved radar,and was designed for search and rescue missions with GE 701 engines as well,what I was trying to say that this is SA's first local Black Hawk seen at an Airshow in South Africa which is civilian registered,and yes this is a special Black Hawk as its the only one in SA that is flying and not only just seen from another countries air force's like the USAF ones of past!

and as you can see on serial number its a UH-60A!1980 Model Not an HH-60 either.

How does its firefighting capabilities compare to the Oryx?
(speed & volume of water per load, etc)

Oryx is equipped with a 2.5 ton Bambi Bucket, capacity 2,000 litres and 3,600kg on the Sling

The same as the Oryx the black hawk has a 530 Gallon bucket,which is about 2006 litres.The Black Hawk can carry 4,100kg on the Sling.As this black hawk was stripped of a few military equipment the Sling is estimated about 4,200kg so a little more than the Oryx.I did ask Mark Jackson her owner this for clarity on this.

Speed is 357kmph for Black Hawk its fast for a helicopter.

Oryx speed 306kmph.

The length of the cable is also longer than the Huey and Oryx what I have heard to the Bambi bucket,you can see its length in my pictures,its very long Mark said 120ft..longer than normal.

Interesting max speed and cargo weights given here???
The official LHM website provide different figures than these quated above and if compared to the Oryx, HH60 is slower by a few knots and has a lower max cargo hook capacity
