And to think that Mad Bob recently authorised US$1.8 million to be spent on 40 Jeep Cherokees for his ministers.
Priorities, Priorities, Priorities!!!!

a couple of weeks ago i posted some information here
viewtopic.php?f=13&t=1943&start=60

3*B737-200s were controversially retired a few months ago.

2*737-500s were leased from Zambezi airlines for a few days before they pulled out of the deal unceremoniously

IATA suspended air Zimbabwe from booking services over a US$280,000 debt.

2*brand new A340-500 air are expected to be delivered very soon.

NB this is just a phase. every organization goes through a phase.

Air Zimbabwe is ranked as a two star airline by skytrax because everything else comes fourth after safety , safety and safety. its one of the few African airlines to own wide body aircraft. Two brand new wide body aircraft (A340-500) are expected to be delivered soon.

SAA is usually in the red when money is counted at the end of the financial year except that year when it appeared in the green because of a refund from airbus.

[quote="skyhawk77"]Air Zimbabwe is ranked as a two star airline by skytrax because everything else comes fourth after safety ,

According to Skytrax a two star rating is described as follows:-
"Representing a poor Quality performance - falling below the industry average in the different competitive rankings of Product and Service standards."

That should be amended to "its one of the last African airlines to own wide body aircraft". Not that it owns any yet.

Another fact. Air Zimbabwe is one of the few airlines in the world to achieve and enjoy a seating capacity of 85%.

Oh dear, that is a lie, where did you get that from? Mad Bob's properganda machine?
I saw on Skytrax, Air Zim cabin crew get one star for language skills. That shows the importance of the customer is low priority.

Does anyone know if SAA has ever been denied fuel due to outstanding debts?
