The second incident was allegedly on departure from Brussels on the 26th February when it is claimed the aircraft violated the noise abatement regulations in force at the airport.
These Airport Noise Regulations ("Nachvlugverbot") rules in europe is a big headache, and you stick to it... or pay... and they like to bring this one up, no matter what....
This literary means flight are banned during the night, nothing except very few flights like emergencies are allowed. With it there is a lot of fine print regarding noise levels and what it can be and not. I still would like to know how they expect you to control the sound of the plane so accurately. Than the fines if you brake this rules is very high….. It is madness…. It is cheaper for the plane to miss his slot at the airport than to brake these “rules”
You can be in military plane, (Which strictly also fall under the exceptions), being cleared by the tower, everything in place, you just wait for a few civilian planes to go, and then at 24:00 they will cut the lights and you have to go back….. and the paperwork will be a mountain of forms to be completed.
