Touchy subject, I know, (I've been told in the past that I am "overly critical" of stuff put out by simulation people) but I'm an engineer not an artist.

Are you interested in constructive criticism of the MFD / MFCD / HUD (with samples of what the actual displays look like, where I can find them)?

Maybe I should just start a new topic (not sure if I've ever done that) with never-seen-before Cheetah C and D cockpit and display images (I know I've never done the photobucket thing). But criticising someone else's creativity is much easier than getting off my butt and doing something myself!

If you have info on the Cheetah MFD and HUD, please send it to me. I designed the present MFD when the Cheetah info was still classified. Anything will help thanks

I am always open to constructive criticism! I design aircraft as a hobby, I do not have any formal training in xml coding or auto-cad or related software, what I know and have applied to date re FS is through trial and error.

Bits are still classified, I think.

The primary comment (apart from the details of what is displayed) is that the left display is a monochrome (green) display, not colour.

Instead of hijacking your thread I will start a new topic with Cheetah C and Cheetah D cockpit photos as well as frame grabs from in-flight video recordings (HUD, MFD, MFCD.) I've started scratching through my archives, so it will probably take a few days.

OK, I asked about posting photos in February 2010, now I've finally done it.

I have started a new topic on the SAAF http://saairforce.co.za/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4722&p=47690#p47687, which has photos of Cheetah C and D Cockpits. The title is "Cheetah C and D Cockpit photos" (original, no?)

I have sorted out about 40 Cheetah C screen grabs from HUD, MFCD, MFD, as well as some Cheetah D grabs, so those will be another topic (or a group of topics), once I have done some format conversions.

Hang in there - I think the HUD / MFD / MFCD grabs are going to be more useful to you (when I get to them).

For those who are interested in the CheetahC model, it will be available from the following sites over the next few days:

fsworld.co.za
mirage4fs.com
www.flightsim.com
simviation.com

Enjoy, this was probably my last fs model.
