Flying the Lineage 1000 from FACT to FAWK Friday afternoon, and had a few issues with the aircraft
First of all, it is a beautiful aircraft, and AWESOME VC. but in my opinion, it lack of a few things:
Right after takeoff, as you can see in the screenshots, it was misty in Cape Town, and with positive rate of climb, gear up, and like normal procedure, I engage the autopilot. There my problems started. trying to get a climb rate of 1800fpm, but to my surprise I notice the aircraft is sinking, instead of climbing. I then discovered the positive/negative signs are working the wrong way around on the selector wheel. so instead of setting the value up, I was setting it down. I then discovered the same with the altitude.
Ok that fixed, I was looking for the NAV/GPS button. Nope. Nothing there. You need to use the in flight computer to navigate. I then did manual VOR to VOR navigation to FAWK (I was bargaining on working on the Rooivalk while the lineage was in the air - nothing came from that)
When on approach at FAWK, the speed hold would not disengage, resulting in a go around.
