a Great fellow FS developer, Rich Bakker, are going to make the Rooivalk model to work for FSX, with higher res textures, FSX animations and so on. Here are the first screenshot I received from Rich. Note the bump map on the rivets, panel lines

Keep up the good work Rich! :smt023

Hi Boertjie,

Yes it will be available on FSWorld, as well as Flightsim.com, and Rich also would like to place it on Simviation.com. I will keep this thread updated :smt023

Jakes, these are wonderful images. A point of interest, not knowing the scope of work and the templates/graphics available to "built" aircraft, I would like to point out that the C130Bs and lately the C130BZs never had under wing long-range fuel tanks as you depict with #401.

The original 7 C130Bs did not even have the plumbing in the wings. Although some of the 5 aircraft received from the US via the EDA programme did have the plumbing for the under wing fuel tanks, this was removed when the aircraft was "BZ-ted".

Incidentally, never having flown in the long-range fuel tank configuration, was the single-most contributing factor that "saved" the C130Bs when there was a virtual world-wide grounding early in 2005 of older model C130s due to a wing-fatigue problem.

Thanks Anton,
Yes I am aware of the incorrect under wing tanks, but these are all USA AI aircraft that was used to display, only with SA textures. These tanks are fixed on the model, and cannot be removed. So we have to be happy with what we get, unless we model it ourselves :smt023

Now that I think of it, Maybe I could remove the tanks by coloring it pure green with a black alpha channel. Hmmm will see
